President Al-Alimi Receives KSA’s Ambassador to Yemen

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Sunday, Mr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Supervisor-General of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al Jaber conveyed to His Excellency the President and the members of the Council the greetings of his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince, the Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, along with their wishes of security, stability, and peace for Yemen and its people.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al Jaber to convey his greetings, along with those of his fellow Council members and the government, to the Saudi leadership under the leadership of his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister. He also expressed his best wishes for their continued health and happiness, and for the Saudi people’s prosperity and progress under their wise leadership.

The meeting touched on bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and prospects for strengthening and developing them at all levels, in addition to the latest national developments, the course of economic, financial, and administrative reforms, and the regional and international support required to reinforce the stability of the national currency and improve the living conditions of the Yemeni people.

His Excellency the President praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its sincere fraternal stances alongside the Yemeni people and their political leadership at all stages and under all circumstances, reaffirming its genuine commitment to alleviating their suffering and supporting their aspirations to restore state institutions, security, stability, and development.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council also commended the vital humanitarian and developmental interventions carried out by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, (SDRPY), the “MASAM” project for clearing Yemeni lands of mines, and all other generous Saudi programs and initiatives, foremost among them the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

For his part, Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber reiterated the Kingdom’s continued support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and comprehensive reform efforts in a manner that achieves security, peace, stability, and development in Yemen.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Presidency Office.
