President Al-Alimi Praises UAE Interventions in Electricity Sector

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today (Wednesday) Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Za’abi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen.

During the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador conveyed to His Excellency the President and the members of the Council the greetings of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, along with his wishes for the President’s continued health and happiness, and for the Yemeni people’s security, stability, and peace.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al-Zaabi to convey his greetings and those of the Council members to the UAE leadership, together with their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the government and people of the brotherly United Arab Emirates under its wise leadership.

The meeting addressed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and prospects for strengthening and developing them at all levels.

It also touched on the latest national developments and the regional and international support required for economic and financial reforms, as well as for improving the living conditions of the Yemeni people.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the active role of the United Arab Emirates within the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy, including its economic, humanitarian, and development interventions across various sectors. In this context, His Excellency highlighted the UAE projects recently inaugurated in the electricity sector in the interim capital Aden and Shabwa Governorate, and their direct impact on improving essential services for citizens.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the Director of the Presidency Office, and Major General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, the President’s Advisor for Defense and Security.
