President Al- Alimi meets leaders of Security and military Committee in Al-Mahra

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met today, Saturday, with the Security Committee and military leaders in Al-Mahra Governorate, in the presence of the governorate’s governor, Chairman of the Committee, Mohammed Ali Yasser.

During the meeting, the president of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of enhancing the high vigilance that the security and military services have shown in Al-Mahra Governorate during the last period.

The president of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the successes achieved by the local authority and its security services in law enforcement, especially in terms of combating the smuggling of weapons, drugs, and criminal elements belonging to terrorist groups, including the Iran backed Houthi militia.

The president of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the keenness of the Council and the government to support the efforts of the local authorities in the liberated governorates to establish security, stability, and public peace.

During the meeting  a number of security and military issues and topics were discussed and reviewed, in addition to the measures taken in this regard in coordination with the various concerned agencies. 

The meeting was attended by Director of the President’s office Major General Saleh Al-Maqalih, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Al-Mahra Governorate, Salem Neimer, the Deputy Chief of the National Security Apparatus, Major General Mohammed Aida, and a number of officials in the governorate.
