Yemen’s Ambassadors to the Czech Republic and Indonesia Take Constitutional Oath

Today, Thursday, at the Ma’ashiq Palace, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, witnessed the swearing-in ceremony of Ambassador Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hadhrami on the occasion of his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Czech Republic.

Also sworn in before His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi was Ambassador Salem Ahmed Abdullah Balfakeeh, on the occasion of his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Indonesia.

Following the oath-taking, the President met with Ambassadors Al-Hadhrami and Balfakeeh and urged them to fully assume their responsibilities in representing the Republic of Yemen, safeguarding its interests, and serving its citizens in the Czech Republic and Indonesia. He emphasized the importance of strengthening Yemen’s longstanding bilateral relations with their respective host countries.

President Al-Alimi praised the ongoing reforms within Yemen’s diplomatic corps and stressed the need to enhance its role in mobilizing international support and maintaining the ongoing cohesiveness towards the Yemeni people in their aspirations to restore national institutions and end the coup by the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

His Excellency also highlighted the vital role of diplomatic missions in effectively engaging with current developments and responding to ongoing changes at all levels.

In this context, the President underscored the importance of actively promoting the values of the Yemeni people and their aspirations for building a state founded on justice and equal citizenship. He called for exposing the terrorist Houthi militia and its severe human rights violations, viewing it as a persistent threat to international peace and security.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Shayea Al-Zandani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
