President Al-Alimi Meets Head of EU Mission for Farewell

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today with Ambassador Gabriel Munuera Viñals, Head of the European Union Mission to Yemen, to bid farewell upon the conclusion of his tenure as EU Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen.
The discussions touched upon the distinguished bilateral relations between Yemen and the EU, recent developments in Yemen, and regional matters of mutual interest.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the European Union’s stance in support of the Yemeni people, its political leadership, and their aspirations to restore state institutions, security, stability, and peace.
His Excellency also commended Ambassador Viñales’ role in strengthening and advancing bilateral relations between the Republic of Yemen and the European Union, as well as his deep understanding of the Yemeni context. He wished him all the best and success in his future assignments.
The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, Director of the Presidential Office.
