President al-Alimi holds a meeting with Almahrah local authority

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the President of the Presidential Council, met today, Thursday, with the Governor of Al-Mahra Governorate, Mohammed Ali Yaser, and the members of the executive office in the governorate, to discuss the developmental and service-related situations, and the level of implementing approved government and local plans in various fields.

During the meeting, president al- Alimi stressed common responsibilities of State institutions and local authorities under the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Houthi militia attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.

 

His Excellency praised the efforts of the local authority leadership, its offices, and its institutions in various districts aimed at improving services and alleviating the impact of the war caused by the Iran- backed Houthi militias.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the council and government's commitment to supporting the efforts of the local authority and facilitating all brotherly and friendly interventions in the fields of services and development, especially in the electricity and energy sectors.

His Excellency was briefed comprehensively by the Governor of Al-Mahra Governorate, Mohammed Ali Yaser, and the directors of the executive offices and districts , on the situation in the governorate and the required government support to advance development.

The leadership of the local authority provided a detailed presentation about the urgent needs in the electricity and fisheries sectors, agriculture and irrigation, roads and public works, education, youth, sports, and other sectors.
