President Al-Alimi Assesses Situation in Marib

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a phone call with Major General Sultan Al-Aradah, the Council Member and Governor of Marib Governorate. During the call they review the situation in the governorate, the conditions of the citizens, and coordinated efforts with government agencies to improve services, public revenues, and enhance security and stability.

On behalf of the Council members and the government, the President extended his congratulations to the local leadership, the people of the governorate, and the armed and security forces in all their formations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. He prayed to Almighty God that this blessed religious occasion may come again while the Yemeni people—and the resilient people of Marib—achieve all their aspirations for victory, the restoration of state institutions, and the realization of security, stability, and development.

The President was briefed by the Council Member on the overall situation in Marib Governorate, including the efforts of the local authority in the areas of security, services, and development, as well as the level of response to humanitarian needs of the millions of displaced persons who have found safe refuge in Marib from the oppression of the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Major General Al-Aradah also briefed the President on the latest security and military developments, and the readiness level of the armed forces to deter the Houthi militias and thwart their ongoing attempts to breach internal fronts following their repeated defeats at the fortified gates of Marib.

The President praised the developmental and service-oriented progress in Marib despite the years-long siege imposed by the terrorist militias. He also commended the vigilance of the armed and security forces in maintaining public order and deterring threats on various fronts.

His Excellency highlighted the well-known cohesiveness of the people of Marib—along with political parties, civil society organizations, and awareness platforms—around the local leadership and state institutions in their efforts to maintain security and stability and provide essential services, all while fulfilling their constitutional duties to citizens and displaced persons from across the country.

His Excellency affirmed the profound national role of Marib’s people and its noble tribes, who have offered a commendable example in defending the Republic and upholding national principles. He expressed full confidence in their awareness and resilience in thwarting those who seek to undermine Marib and its people, keeping their proud governorate a bastion of resistance and a key to the great victory that is now closer than ever.
