President of Leadership Council Offers Condolences on Pope Francis’ Passing

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a telegram of condolences today, Monday, to Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, on the passing of the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis.
The President, on his behalf, the members of the Council, and the government, expressed his heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the Vatican, all Christians, and followers of the Catholic Church on the death of the Supreme Pontiff. His Excellency affirmed that the world has lost, with Pope Francis passing, a symbol of tolerance, love, and coexistence among all peoples and religions.
His Excellency praised the Pope’s wisdom and courageous humanitarian stances in support of just causes, as well as his steadfast commitment to promoting the values of coexistence, goodness, and the rejection of violence, extremism, and racism. He also highlighted the Pope’s notable contributions to enhancing dialogue between civilizations — most recently his sincere message and heartfelt wishes for the Yemeni people to end their humanitarian suffering and to restore hope, security, stability, and peace.
