President al-Alimi praises Japanese development interventions in Yemen
RIYADH:
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council,, received today, Wednesday, the Charged' Affairs of the Japanese embassy in the Republic of Yemen Kazu Hiro Higashi.
The meeting touched upon the longstanding bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the promising prospects for expanding them in various fields.
The latest developments in Yemen including the regional and international efforts to revive the peace process were also discussed, in addition to the need for mounting international pressures to press for peace, increase peace prospects amid Iran-backed Houthi militias' intransigence
The president of the Presidential Leadership Council, highly praised the Japanese contribution to the development drive and reconstruction in Yemen including the seaports cities. Expressing his hope that such interventions will witness qualitative development, especially in the educational and service sectors, which have been boosted by Japan over the past decades.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi.
