President Al-Alimi Receives UAE Ambassador

Today, Monday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen.  

During the meeting, the UAE ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to His Excellency President Al-Alimi and members of the Council, along with His Highness’s wishes for the President’s health and happiness, and for security, stability, and peace for the Yemeni people.  

In turn, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al-Zaabi to convey his and the Council’s greetings to the UAE leadership, along with their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the brotherly Emirati people under its wise leadership.  

The discussions focused on bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples and explored opportunities to deepen cooperation across all levels.

The meeting also addressed recent developments in the national situation, as well as the required regional and international support to improve the living conditions of the Yemeni people, fulfill their aspirations to restore state institutions, and achieve security, stability, and development.

President Al-Alimi commended the distinguished bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and peoples, as well as the UAE’s active role within the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, including its economic, humanitarian, and developmental contributions across various fields.  

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency.
