President of Leadership Council Receives Ambassador of Iraq

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Sunday, Mr. Qais Saad Al-Ameri, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Yemen.

The Iraqi ambassador conveyed to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council the greetings of his brother, His Excellency President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, along with his congratulations on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. He also expressed his wishes for good health and well-being for the President and members of the Council, as well as stability and peace for the Yemeni people.

In return, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al-Ameri to convey his greetings to the Iraqi leadership and his congratulations on the blessed month.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in both countries, bilateral relations, prospects for strengthening and developing them at all levels, and ways to coordinate positions regarding regional developments of mutual interest.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished historical fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and the supportive stance of the Republic of Iraq towards the Yemeni people and their aspirations for stability, peace, and development.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Shai'a Al-Zandani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
