PLC President Orders Care for Families of Houthi Attack Victims and Decisive Response

An official source at the Office of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, said that the President has been closely monitoring developments around the clock following the treacherous terrorist attack launched by the Houthi terrorist militias against a number of Armed Forces positions in the governorates of Hadhramout and Marib. The attack resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several Armed Forces personnel while carrying out their national duty.

The source told the Yemen News Agency (SABA) that the President held a series of telephone calls with Presidential Leadership Council members and governors of Marib and Hadhramout, Sultan Al-Arada and Salem Al-Khanbashi, as well as military and security commanders in the two governorates. The calls reviewed the latest field developments, the level of military readiness, the measures taken to contain the repercussions of the terrorist attack, and the Armed Forces’ continued ability to carry out their duties with efficiency and professionalism.

The source added that the President directed the government and the competent military, security, and health authorities to mobilize all available resources to provide the necessary care for the wounded and injured. He also instructed them to take all necessary measures to honor the martyrs and care for their families in recognition of their noble sacrifices in defense of the homeland and its republican system, while ensuring a decisive response to the source of the threat.

The President expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families and relatives of the martyrs, as well as to the personnel of the Armed Forces, the security services, and all military formations. He prayed that Almighty Allah would bestow His mercy upon the martyrs and grant the wounded a speedy recovery. He affirmed that their sacrifices will remain a source of pride and honor for all the people of Yemen.
