President Al-Alimi meets with Oman Foreign Minister

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Council member Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, met today, Thursday, with Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting touched on the long-standing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the prospects for strengthening them in various fields.
The meeting also touched on developments in the Yemeni situation, including the commendable mediation efforts led by the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to renew the truce and launch a comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic and Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
On the Omani side, the Sultanate’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Mohammed bin Awad Al-Hassan, and the Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Hinai.
