The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council meets with the Supreme Security Committee

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, held today, Monday, a meeting with the Supreme Security Committee.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, and the members of the committee, the Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, the heads of the political and national security agencies, the Military Intelligence and Military Reconnaissance Authority, and officials of the relevant agencies included in the committee’s meeting schedule. The meeting was held in the presence of the Minister of State, Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mohammad Al-Mahmoudi, and the Director of Aden Police, Major General Mutahar Al-Shuaibi.
The meeting discussed a number of security and military files and topics, including the current and future repercussions of the influx of illegal refugees, and the requirements to confront the plans of the Houthi militias and the terrorist organizations interworking with them.
During the meeting a brief was presented by the heads of the relevant agencies on reports related to the files presented on the meeting’s agenda, and the measures taken regarding them.
The attendees heard a report from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mohammed Al-Mahmoudi, head of the Crisis Cell, regarding developments related to the terrorist attack that claimed the life of a World Food Program employee, Muayad Hamidi, in Taiz Governorate last July.
In this context, the attendees affirmed the state's commitment to pursuing the terrorist individuals involved in the attack, providing all guarantees to secure the work of international relief organizations and agencies, and facilitating the access of their humanitarian interventions to those in need throughout the country.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the role of the Supreme Security Committee in improving decision-making and urgent response to terrorist plots, and the importance of working as a team to confront cross-border threats in coordination with regional allies and international partners.
His Excellency also praised the successes of the armed and security forces, and the supporting military and security formations in combating terrorism, smuggling, and organized crime, and their pivotal role in enhancing security and stability in the various liberated governorates.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, and the Director of the Office of the Supreme Commander, Major General Ahmed Al-Aqili.
