Decree of President of Presidential Leadership Council Appointing a Prime Minister

Today, Saturday, President of the Presidential Leadership Council Decree No. (156) of 2025 was issued regarding the appointment of a Prime Minister. 

The decree states the following:

President of the Presidential Leadership Council,

•    Pursuant  to the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen,

•    And Law No. (3) of 2004 concerning the cabinet,

•    And the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its implementation mechanism signed on November 23, 2011,

•    And the Riyadh Agreement signed on November 5, 2019,

•    And the Declaration of Power Transfer, and the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council issued on April 7, 2022,

•    Based on Presidential Leadership Council Resolution No. (8) dated May 1, 2025,

•    And in the interest of the nation’s supreme good,

It has been decreed:

Article (1): Mr. Salem Saleh Salem Bin Burik is appointed as Prime Minister.

Article (2): The current members of the government shall continue performing their duties in accordance with their appointment decrees.

Article (3): This decree shall take effect as of the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

The Decree is Issued in the Presidency of the  Presidential Leadership Council.
