President Al-Alimi Meets with Foreign Ministry Leadership and Heads of Diplomatic Missions Abroad
Riyadh
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a meeting today, Tuesday, with senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of diplomatic missions abroad, in the presence of Dr. Shaya’a Al-Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs.
During the meeting, the President, on behalf of himself, the Council, and the government, expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic missions in serving national interests, defending the state’s legal status, and ensuring Yemen’s voice remains prominent in all regional and international forums.
President Al-Alimi briefed the Foreign Ministry leadership and heads of diplomatic missions on the latest domestic developments, the complex challenges, and available opportunities to improve living conditions. He stressed the importance of advancing efforts to restore state institutions and end the coup by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia.
His Excellency stated: "We meet today at a critical moment in our national struggle—one in which we place great reliance on Yemeni diplomacy to secure comprehensive international support for our people’s long-awaited battle for liberation."
He emphasized the pivotal role of Yemen’s ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions abroad in responding effectively to evolving developments and current changes at all levels.
"Today, we must redouble our efforts at home and abroad to affirm the Yemeni state’s readiness and competence in managing humanitarian aid, facilitating commercial shipping, and eliminating terrorist threats," he added.
The President also underscored the need to expose the terrorist Houthi militia’s grave human rights violations and clarify their historical context—proving that they are not a project for peace, but rather a persistent threat to regional and international security.
His Excellency stressed the necessity of coordination and collaboration with regional and international organizations, including the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab League, and the United Nations, to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and fulfill their aspirations for stability, peace, and development, like all other nations.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency, and Mr. Mustafa Ahmed Mohammed Noman, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
