President Al-Alimi Praises New Saudi Support for General Budget and Central Bank

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressed his appreciation for the new financial support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Yemen’s general budget and Central Bank.

On his behalf, his fellow Council members, the government, and the Yemeni people, the President extended profound gratitude to the leadership, government, and people of Saudi Arabia for their continued support of Yemen’s national economy. This support includes a $300 million deposit to the Central Bank of Yemen and an additional $200 million grant for the general budget, which will contribute to addressing the budget deficit and fulfilling obligations related to salaries, wages, and operational expenses of state institutions.

In a post on the X platform, His Excellency stated that this support demonstrates a strong commitment from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. The support aims to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and support the Yemeni people’s aspirations for stability, peace, and development.

The President also expressed his gratitude to the team managing the Yemen file, led by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, as well as Saudi development and humanitarian institutions. He commended their dedication and sincerity in alleviating suffering, rebuilding services, and strengthening food security for all Yemeni.
