The meeting focused on the latest developments on the national stage, particularly the government’s efforts to secure services and alleviate the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

The Presidential Leadership Council also discussed initial proposals for addressing the requirements of its strategy plan for the upcoming phase, previously approved during an earlier meeting. This strategy encompasses various political, economic, and military tracks. The Council adopted appropriate decisions and recommendations accordingly.

In this context, the Council directed the swift completion of sectoral frameworks to implement the strategy, outlining a roadmap to address intertwined challenges. The focus will be on prioritizing development, completing the battle to restore state institutions, combating terrorism, and fulfilling the Yemeni people’s aspirations for peace, security, and stability.

The Council also listened to reports from some of its members regarding their assigned tasks, including assessments of the performance of several high-level authorities, progress in financial and administrative reforms, anti-corruption efforts, and the promotion of principles of integrity, transparency, and governance. Additionally, updates were provided on judicial matters and cases highlighted in reports from the Central Organization for Control and Accounting.

In this regard, the council directed the relevant authorities to take constitutional and legal measures to restructure the National Authority for Combating Corruption, and activate oversight mechanisms to protect public resources and strengthen the state’s authority.

The Council urged the government to accelerate measures to address the economic situation, remove all obstacles facing the humanitarian sector, and ensure aid reaches its beneficiaries across the country.

The Council reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating the government’s work and enhancing its capacity to meet its essential obligations and respond urgently to crises and emerging challenges, in full coordination with all state institutions and authorities at both central and local levels.

The meeting reiterated the Council’s strong partnership with the regional and international community, particularly the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The Council expressed support for their noble efforts to transition Yemen from a state of war to peace, fulfilling the aspirations of all Yemenis in restoring state institutions, safeguarding Yemen’s identity, and reinforcing its Arab affiliation.
