President Al- Alimi Visits UAE's Martyrs’ Memorial

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, visited today, Wednesday, Wahat Al Karama in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. This significant cultural landmark symbolizes the heroism and sacrifices of the Emirati martyrs for their country’s and nation’s honor and dignity, both at home and abroad.
Upon his arrival, the President was received by Mr. Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Justice, and Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Yemen.
During the visit, His Excellency laid a wreath of flowers at the Martyrs’ Monument within Wahat Al Karama. He toured its various sections and was briefed by officials on its features. Spanning an area of 46,000 square meters, the site includes Martyr's Monument, the Pavilion of Honor, the Plaza of Pride, and a state-of-the-art visitor center, making it one of the UAE’s most remarkable architectural and tourist destinations, attracting millions from around the world.
In a statement recorded in the visitors’ log, the President expressed Yemen’s profound gratitude and appreciation, on behalf of its leadership, government, and people, to the martyrs of the UAE. He acknowledged their continued sacrifices in support of the Yemeni people, the defense of its national achievements, and its Arab identity against the Houthi militia’s coup, supported by the Iranian regime.
The President remarked, “The sacrifices of the UAE Armed Forces, most recently exemplified by the martyrdom of Sergeant Mohammed Al-Khayeli after years of enduring injuries sustained in battles of pride and dignity, as well as the honorable stances of the UAE leadership, will forever remain etched in Yemen’s national memory. These contributions add to the legacy of giving, following in the footsteps of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace.”
His Excellency further added, “The Wahat Al Karama stands as a towering cultural edifice, symbolizing the shared destiny between the Republic of Yemen and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the fraternal and noble positions of our brother nation in the past, present, and future.”
