In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
Statement by the Presidential Leadership Council Marking the First Month Since the Launch of “Dawn of Yemen” Operation
Great Yemeni people,
Heroes of our Armed Forces, security forces, all military formations and the popular resistance,
A month has passed since the launch of “Dawn of Yemen” Operation. Our people’s resolve has grown stronger, their commitment to restoring their state remains unwavering, and the banner of freedom continues to fly high through the sacrifices of Yemenis from all governorates.
It has been a month of courage, steadfastness and sacrifice, during which Yemenis have reaffirmed that their homeland will never become spoils for rogue militias. They affirmed that the future of their generations will never remain hostage to weapons and the terrorism of the Iranian project.
As the Presidential Leadership Council marks this milestone in our national battle, it affirms that “Dawn of Yemen” is an irreversible decision. The operation will continue until all its objectives are achieved: ending the coup, restoring state institutions, and extending state sovereignty over the entire national territory.
The Council extends its highest tribute and deepest respect to the heroes of the Armed Forces in all their formations, to the security personnel and popular resistance fighters on every front and at every position, and to all those standing firm in the face of danger. They shoulder the responsibility of defending the republican system and, through their sacrifices, are paving the way for the restoration of national institutions and human dignity.
The first month has exacted a heavy toll on the Houthi militias and their military capabilities. Since October 5, a total of 40,761 military strikes have been carried out against the militias on various fronts. These operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 20,000 of their terrorist leaders and members who have been misled into their ranks, as well as the destruction or disabling of more than 5,000 military vehicles.
These figures reflect the scale of the combat effort, the systematic attrition and the devastating blows inflicted on the militias. Even more difficult and severe challenges await them in the days ahead.
At the heart of this epic struggle stands Taiz, dignified and steadfast through its people and heroes, and beyond subjugation.
Taiz, which continues to face siege, shelling and attempts to storm the city, has etched its name deeply into Yemen’s collective memory and the conscience of the world. It is a city that has made defending life an unbreakable principle and upholding the republic a pledge passed down from one generation to the next—a pledge that no power on earth can tear from the hearts of its people.
For more than a month, Taiz has been writing a chapter that will remain in the history of cities that stood against the new Imamate aggression and shouldered the burden of their nation’s most difficult moments. At its entrances and on its battlefronts, the illusions of subjugating the city are crumbling. In its homes, hospitals and defensive positions, the will to survive is renewed.
Yemen will remember the names of its martyrs, the heroism of those defending the city, the patience of its mothers, and every hand that provided first aid to a wounded person, sheltered a displaced family, or shared water and bread under the pressure of the brutal siege.
Taiz, like Aden, Marib, Al-Dhalea and our other proud cities, will remain a testament to the courage of the Yemeni people. The sacrifices of our heroes will remain a debt we must honor, while the republic will continue to be our unifying banner, giving us strength, patience and the ability to achieve our goal of restoring the capital, Sana’a, with the help of Almighty Allah.
The Presidential Leadership Council confidently reaffirms that, no matter how the lines of confrontation shift or how the militias attempt to impose facts on the ground through force and starvation, the Yemenis’ right to their land and state will never change. The land will return to its rightful owners, homes to their inhabitants, and state institutions to serving their citizens.
This is a pledge we uphold and an objective for which we continue to work with an unwavering national will.
At this stage of our national battle, the Presidential Leadership Council affirms that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under its wise leadership and with its generous people, is an essential partner in fostering the Yemeni people’s remarkable resilience and defending their state and aspired future.
The Kingdom stood by our people during their most difficult years. Its continued support has helped maintain the cohesion of state institutions, secure the salaries of public employees, ensure the continuity of services, and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The Council also pays tribute to the leading role of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, whose members responded with courage and sincerity to the call of the Yemeni people. It highly appreciates the efforts of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, and the life-saving projects and initiatives they provide to restore hope, improve livelihoods and promote stability.
To the brotherly Saudi people, who have shared with us the burdens of this decisive battle and whose security, facilities and airports have been targeted by the militias’ attacks, we extend a tribute of gratitude worthy of their noble stance and steadfast support.
We also take pride in the positions of Saudi scholars, intellectuals, writers, journalists and activists, and all those who have stood with Yemen, defended the rights of its people, confronted misinformation and extended a helping hand to their Yemeni brothers. They have demonstrated that brotherhood is proven in times of hardship and that good neighborly relations are also safeguarded by the generosity and solidarity of peoples. The Yemeni people will never forget this kindness and will preserve the memory of their brothers’ support for generations to come.
The Presidential Leadership Council also renews its pledge to our honorable martyrs that their sacrifices will remain present in every decision, and that their families will receive the care they deserve. It likewise pledges to provide the wounded with treatment and attention and to continue all efforts to secure the freedom of detainees and abductees.
The Council also pays tribute to doctors, all state employees, service and relief workers, and everyone who has continued to fulfill their duties and preserve the basic necessities of life for the people under these difficult circumstances.
“Dawn of Yemen” also encompasses the state’s commitment to standing alongside its citizens. This includes ensuring the regular payment of salaries, maintaining essential services, providing relief to those affected, caring for displaced people, and protecting citizens’ rights.
It also involves mobilizing resources to meet these priorities, strengthening the role of local authorities, and bolstering the resilience of cities and areas affected by Houthi terrorism.
To our people in the governorates and areas forcibly controlled by the militias, we renew our call on you to uphold your principled position in defending the republican system and asserting your right to equal citizenship. Reject the project of impoverishment and racism that seeks to strip you of your freedom, squander your resources, and bequeath slavery, fear and deprivation to your children.
Protect your children from recruitment and exploitation. Reject any action that would prolong the life of this project and its aggression against Yemenis. Insist on your right to keep your homes, neighborhoods and civilian institutions safe, and reject their conversion into weapons depots or military positions, or the use of you and your families as human shields.
The path towards restoring the homeland you aspire to requires following in the footsteps of the early national struggle leaders and drawing inspiration from the wisdom of the current consensus among Yemenis. Their rejection of the Imamate project, steadfast resistance to it, and support for the Yemeni people’s right to security, stability, peace and development have astonished the world.
“Dawn of Yemen” will continue until all its objectives are fully achieved. Our pledge to our people remains firm: the Yemeni people will reclaim their decision-making, sovereignty and their children’s right to a future free from militia rule.
Glory and eternity to the martyrs, a speedy recovery to the wounded, and freedom for the detainees and abductees.
