President Al-Alimi and the two PLC’s members lay foundation stone for Martyrs' Memorial in Taiz

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council( PLC),   Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, along with Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujli, members of the Presidential Leadership Council laid the foundation stone for the Martyrs' Memorial at the historic Cairo (Al-Qahira) Castle in Taiz. The Martyrs' Memorial was to immortalize the memory of  the righteous martyrs  from the people of the governorate and the republic who sacrificed their lives cheaply in defense of the republic and the principles of freedom, justice, and equal citizenship against the abhorrent racist Imamate project.

The president of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his own, and  his fellow council member’s pride , in inaugurating this' Memorial  for  the Martyrs of the republic, including heroes of the armed forces, security forces,in addition to all military and security formations, and  the popular resistance. These individuals have written their names with golden ink in the history of sacrifice and national struggle against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

He noted that choosing Taiz Governorate to establish this memorial comes in recognition and appreciation of its great sacrifices and the legendary resilience of its people in the fateful battle against the Houthi terrorist militias and their continuing unjust siege for more than ten years.

The President reaffirmed the PLC and the government’s commitment to provide all forms of support to the wounded and the families of the martyrs, in recognition of their great sacrifices to restore state institutions, end the coup, and uphold the values of coexistence, freedom, dignity, and equal citizenship.

The Ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, the President's Advisor for Defense Affairs, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, the Minister of Interior, and Mr. Nabil Shamsan, Governor of Taiz Governorate.
