President Al-Alimi offers condolences on the death of Ambassador Abdulghani Al-Shamiri

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to Suhaib Abdulghani Al-Shamiri, his brothers and all members of their family on the passing of their father, Dr. Abdulghani Nasr Al-Shamiri, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the brotherly Republic of Indonesia. The late ambassador passed away after a life full of honorable national contributions in the media and diplomatic fields.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf, the members of the Council and the government, expressed his sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the sons of Ambassador Abdulghani Al-Shamiri, his brothers and all members of his family on this painful affliction.

His Excellency the President praised the virtues of Ambassador Al-Shamiri, his positions, and his prominent roles in serving his country and people, and his dedication and loyalty in all the tasks assigned to him during his tenure in many leadership positions. The most important of which was his position as head of the Yemeni satellite channel sector, before he was appointed in 2018 as ambassador of Yemen to the Republic of Indonesia, a position he continued to occupy professionally until his death. His Excellency also praised Dr. Al-Shamiri's contributions to the national enlightenment movement on the media and syndicate levels, asking God Almighty to have mercy on him, to grant him a place in his spacious heavens, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace.

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, highly commended the United Kingdom’s announcement of a new package of support for the Yemeni Coast Guard.
