King Philippe of Belgium received Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council in the Belgian Royal Palace

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with His Majesty King Philippe Leopold today, Wednesday, at the Royal Palace in Brussels, , as part of his current visit to the friendly European country.
King Philippe welcomed the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council during his first visit to the Kingdom of Belgium. King Philippe praised the long-standing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples in various fields.
The Belgian King affirmed Brussels' keenness to support all efforts to achieve peace and restore security and stability in Yemen.
In the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his appreciation for the firm Belgian position within the framework of the European system on the side of the Yemeni people, its legitimate leadership, the aspirations to restore state institutions and to end the human suffering caused by the Houthi terrorist militia, supported by the Iranian regime.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed King Philippe on developments in the Yemeni situation, including economic and service reforms led by the Council and the government. His Excellency, the President, briefed the king on the required European support to enhance the impact of these reforms, as well as sharing visions and positions on common challenges, especially in terms of combating terrorism and transnational violent groups.
