His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with members of the Council, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Othman Majali, and a number of state leaders, performed the Eid Al-Fitr prayer rituals, with crowds of worshipers, in the interim capital, Aden.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council and the two members of the Council witnessed the Eid sermons in the presence of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani, Judge Mohsen Yahya Taleb, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Ali Al-Awash, the Chief of the Supreme Court, Mohammed Al-Shaddadi, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and a number of members of the House of Representatives, ministers, and the Shura Council, the governors, and senior statesmen from the civil, military, and security leadership.

The Eid preacher, Sheikh Mukhtar Al-Rabbash, undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance, spoke about the virtues of the great religious occasion, which is considered one of the major rituals of Islam, which the Almighty God has prescribed for His servants to bring joy, happiness, and thanks to God for what He has bestowed upon them after completing the obligatory fast of Ramadan, in order to gain His mercy, forgiveness, and freedom from Hell.

The Eid preacher urged the continuation of worship and the provision of virtues after the month of Ramadan, pointing to the venerable divine meanings, principles, and values of patience, charity, benevolence, and piety as basic pillars for completing the obligation of fasting.

The Eid preacher congratulated the heroes of the armed forces and security, and all the resistance fighters who defend religion, land, honor, and human dignity. He also congratulated the Yemeni people on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the liberation of Aden, praising the sacrifices of the people of the city and the coalition to support legitimacy in defeating the Iranian project and eliminating it from most of the national territory.

In this context, the Eid sermon noted the presidential commitments towards the city of Aden to place it in the position it deserves as an incubator for the state project and a interim capital of the country.

The sermon called on the state’s leadership to work to alleviate the suffering of citizens and provide basic services, as this is the gateway to sustained victory, with God’s help.

The Eid preacher stressed the importance of seizing the defining moment before the national forces and working to strengthen the cohesiveness of the forces, reject division, internal differences and disputes, rally around the state’s leadership, strengthen its position, and guide it to what is good and in the interest of the nation. He asked God Almighty to grant success to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and his fellow members and the government for what He loves and for what is good and beneficial for the country and the people.

After that, His Excellency the President received the leaders of the state, large crowds of well-wishing citizens, military and security leaders, women, media, and community figures, where he exchanged with them expressions of congratulations and blessings. He wished that God would return this great religious occasion with goodness, prosperity, blessings, and that peace would prevail, security and stability throughout our country and all Muslim countries.
