President Al-Alimi meets with authorities of Representatives, Al- Shura, Consultation and Reconciliation Councils, and a number of His advisors

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Council members Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Abdul Rahman Al-Maharami, and Othman Majali, met today, Thursday, in the interim capital, Aden, with the authorities of the Representatives, Al- Shura, the Consultation and Reconciliation Councils, and a number of advisors to the President of the Leadership Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani, the Speaker of the Parliament, and Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, the Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission. His Excellency the President asked those present to stand and observe a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs of the armed, security forces, popular resistance, all military and security formations, all those who paid their lives for the sake of freedom and Republican Regime , and those who died at the hands of the Houthi terror machine supported by the Iranian regime.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council welcomed those present in the consultative meeting, which comes nearly two years after the formation of the Council as a comprehensive national bearer of the Yemeni issue in confronting the Imamate project and restoring state institutions, security, stability and peace.
His Excellency renewed his commitment, along with his fellow members of the Council, to the pledges they made in their oath of office, foremost of which is working on the basis of partnership and national consensus. His Excellency stressed the Council’s unity and cohesion on the central issue of the Yemeni people, which is restoring state institutions, by peace or war.
In his speech, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council reviewed the overall situation, developments on the national scene, and the difficulties and challenges faced by the Council and the government, especially with the terrorist Houthi militias continuing to prevent the export of oil by brute force, and the resulted disastrous economic and humanitarian repercussions.
In this context, the President noted the support of our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, their active role in the cohesion of state institutions, and the government’s continued commitment to pay employees’ salaries and its inevitable obligations towards citizens.
On the occasion of the anniversary of Decisive Storm and the liberation of the city of Aden, which falls on this month, His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation for the generous support from the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, and his great pride for the great city of Aden.
The President of the Leadership Council stressed the importance of concerted and integrated efforts of all authorities with the aim of optimally responding to the various challenges facing the country in this exceptional stage. He pointed out that despite all these difficult circumstances, many service projects have been opened and established and fundamental reforms have been implemented within the framework of the judicial authority and public finances, the Central Bank and not resorting to inflationary sources to finance the general budget.
His Excellency touched upon field developments and the path of the peace process. He stressed that the peace option will remain a priority for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in accordance with what was stated in the announcement of the transfer of power and the pledges announced, because that is the interest of the Yemeni people.
He added, "We mean here an honorable peace that guarantees a state of equal citizenship, protection of identity, and the state's exclusive right to possess power and enforce the rule of law, including combating terrorism and corruption in its various forms."
The President explained that in order to strengthen the position of the armed and security forces, the Presidential Council and the government have begun to implement many reforms on the way to reorganizing and integrating the forces under a unified national command to be ready to face any eventualities.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the clear position of the Council and the government on the escalation of militias in the Red Sea. He stressed that securing port cities and territorial waters must pass through supporting the government and strengthening its capabilities to restore its control over the entire national territory.
He recalled the government's presidential directives to build the desired model in the liberated governorates, and enhance the confidence of citizens and the regional and international community in public institutions.
He said that the Leadership Council will work, in this context, to follow up with the government to accelerate the establishment of the Tenders Committee, activate oversight and anti-corruption mechanisms, and strengthen anti-smuggling efforts. He added, in addition to working to complete the government program and prepare a draft general budget for the state and approve it in accordance with constitutional and legal procedures.
His Excellency the President also spoke about efforts to enhance and develop non-oil resources and improve access to them in all governorates, in order to enable the government to continue to meet employee salaries. His Excellency referred to the arrangements for establishing a supreme body to take care of the wounded and the families of the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of identity and dignity.
On the anniversary of Mother's Day, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council saluted Yemeni women who have always proven that they are a key saving for identity and the social fabric. He added, that they are the most deserving of support, participation in decision-making and building a just peace that fulfills the aspirations of all Yemenis.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council and members of the Council listened to the interventions of the heads and members of the authorities of the Representatives, Al- Shura, the Consultation and Reconciliation Councils, and the Presidential Advisory Board, regarding presidential and governmental performance, the measures required to confront the political, economic, and security challenges. They also were briefed on ways to transform those challenges into opportunities to strengthen national consensus that is resistant to militias’ coup.
His Excellency urged the interventions to harness all efforts and capabilities to provide the best model in the liberated governorates, and adhering to the legal and constitutional frameworks to strengthen the state’s position and its regional and international presence at all levels.
The meeting was attended by Mohsen Basra, Deputy Speaker of the Representatives Council, Wahi Aman, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Abdul-Malik Al-Mikhlafi, Sakher Al-Wajih, Jamila Ali Raja, and Akram Al-Amiri, Deputy Speakers of the Consultation Commission, and Sultan Al-Atwani, Abdul-Rahman Al-Saqqaf, Saleh Obaid Ahmed, and Muhammad. Musa Al-Amiri, Abdul-Razzaq Al-Hijri, advisors to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
