President Al-Alimi meets with the leadership of the judiciary authority

His Excellency, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Saturday, with the Chief of the Supreme Judiciary Council, Judge Mohsen Yahya Taleb, Judge Ali Al-Awash, the Chief of the Supreme Court, and Judge Qaher Mustafa, the Attorney General. The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister, and Judge Badr Al-Arda, the Minister of Justice.
During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council was briefed on the level of completion of tasks and pending cases before the various judicial departments.
The report included the Supreme Court’s decision on all pending cases during the last period, the completion of more than 16,000 cases by the Public Prosecution. As well as the continuous updates to the judicial bodies with the support of the government represented by the Ministry of Justice, especially with regard to rehabilitating the Ministry’s infrastructure, the Higher Judicial Institute, and the establishment of the National Center for Forensic medicine, re-issuing the judicial newspaper, and automating judicial work at all levels.
In the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his deep appreciation for the role of the leadership of the judiciary authority and its members in the various governorates, in order to strengthen the control of the state and the rule of law, bring justice to the oppressed, and give hope for comprehensive institutional reforms.
His Excellency, the President renewed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to support the judiciary agency, facilitate the full carrying out of its venerable tasks, and respect its independence in exercising its constitutional and legal duties.
In the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister spoke about the economic conditions and challenges facing the government in light of the continued attacks by the terrorist Houthi militias on oil installations and international shipping lines, pledging to respect the principle of separation of powers and strengthen the independence of the judiciary as it is the shining side of the state’s prestige and the cohesion of its central and local institutions.
