President Al-Alimi meets with the leaders of political parties

His Excellency, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met this evening with a number of leaders and representatives of national political parties. The meeting was held to consult on developments in the local situation, and to strengthen the internal front, in light of the intertwined challenges at various levels.

His Excellency, the President emphasized the role of political and component parties, in addition to their pivotal position in the leadership of the broad national coalition to support legitimacy and consolidate the values of partnership, as well as their oversight role over the efficiency of the authorities in responding to the aspirations of the people and the needs of citizens.

His Excellency, the President reaffirmed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to national constants, defending the legal status of the state, the interests of the Yemeni people, their republican system, achieving their aspirations to end the coup of the terrorist Houthi militias, and restore security, stability, peace and development.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed the secretaries-general and representatives of the political parties on the national updates and the entitlements of the current stage at all levels.

The President said: that restoring state institutions, confronting the Imamate project, improving services, alleviating the suffering of citizens, and rational management of the economic file would remain at the top of the priorities of the Council and the government during the next stage.

In this context, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in continuing the cohesion of state institutions to fulfill their inevitable obligations towards citizens, including the regular payment of employee salaries despite the catastrophic repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil installations and shipping international lines.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council listened to the visions of representatives of the political components, their approaches to national issues, and developments in the Yemeni and regional scene, their praise of the unity of the official and popular position in support for the Palestinian people cause and their right to establish their independent, fully sovereign state. They exposed the attempts of the terrorist Houthi militias to exploit the Palestinian issue for the benefit of the Iranian regime and his expansion project in the region.

Representatives of the political components affirmed their full support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government. They reiterated the importance of moving forward with the comprehensive reform program, anti-corruption efforts, and continuing consultation with various forces on the basis of broad national partnership.
