The President and State leaders head to Kuwait to offer condolences over passing of Amir of Kuwait

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Council Member Othman Majali, offered their condolences over the demise of the late Emir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, immediately upon the President’s arrival today, Monday, in the brotherly country. His Excellency heads a high-level delegation that includes the Speakers of the Houses of Representatives, Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani, the Cabinet’s Dr. Maeen Abdul Malik, Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, and Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission Mohammed Al-Ghaithi.

The delegation also includes advisors to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdulaziz Al-Muflhi, Omar Al-Amoudi, Member of the House of Representatives, Abdul-Razzaq Al-Hajri, and the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhout bin Madi.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council and the accompanying delegation were received in the Amiri Airport lounge by His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.

His Excellency was also received by His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the family of His Highness the late Emir of the State of Kuwait and a number of their Highnesses the Sheikhs.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf, the members of the Council, the government, and the Yemeni people, expressed to Prince Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the honorable Al-Sabah family, and the brotherly Kuwaiti people his sincere condolences and deepest sympathy on the passing of the great deceased, who left a great legacy in the service of his people, his country, and his nation. His Excellency pointed out that the late Emir strengthened the distinguished position of the State of Kuwait, its white hands and its honorable positions alongside the Yemeni people and their political leadership in various stages and circumstances.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and the accompanying delegation for their sincere brotherly feelings towards the State of Kuwait and its people in their painful affliction.

After offering condolences, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and the accompanying delegation left the State of Kuwait, where they were seen off by Sheikh Mohammed Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs,and Dr. Ali Mansour bin Safa, the Ambassador of Yemen to Kuwait.
