PLC President Follows Up on “Dawn of Yemen” Operation, Hails Armed Forces’ Victories and Comprehensive Support
Aden
President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, reviewed today, Tuesday, the latest developments in the “Dawn of Yemen” operation. He followed up on the victories achieved by the Armed Forces, military formations, and popular resistance forces on several fronts, with substantial support from the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy.
President Al-Alimi received briefings from Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Taher Al-Oqaili and Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations Lt. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz on the progress of military operations. His Excellency was briefed on the field situation, and the level of readiness and coordination among the various forces and formations to implement approved plans.
The PLC President praised the victories achieved by the Armed Forces, all military formations, and popular resistance forces over the past hours. He commended the bravery and high competence demonstrated by their personnel and commanders in managing the battle and inflicting heavy losses on the Iranian-backed terrorist militias.
The briefings confirmed that the “Dawn of Yemen” operation is proceeding in accordance with its approved objectives and plans. Attempts by the Houthi militias to deploy additional recruits to the battlefronts will not alter the course of the fighting. But rather will expose the scale of the attrition they are suffering and their continued need to replace their human and battlefield losses.
The President called on citizens in areas forcibly controlled by the militias not to respond to the mobilization campaigns led by the group and not to allow it to send their sons into losing battles. He stressed that militia members have no option but to lay down their arms and take advantage of the opportunity for a safe return.
The PLC President reassured the Yemeni people that the Armed Forces and all military formations are steadily and effectively conducting their operations on various fronts. He said their advances and resilience confirm that the state and its Armed Forces have now taken the initiative, paving the way for ending the coup and the protracted humanitarian suffering.
He particularly praised the commanders, officers, and soldiers stationed on the front lines, who are writing some of the greatest chapters of heroism in defense of the republican system and in fulfillment of their military duty.
The PLC President prayed for the souls of the martyrs of the Armed Forces, security forces, all military formations, and popular resistance forces, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery. He affirmed that these precious sacrifices are paving the way for the dawn of a new Yemen and will remain a debt owed by the state and a foundation for the victory to which all Yemenis aspire.
President Al-Alimi also highly commended the comprehensive support provided by the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy to the Armed Forces and the Yemeni people. He affirmed that this support reflects the unwavering fraternal stance alongside the Yemeni people, their legitimate leadership, and their aspirations for security, stability, and peace.
The meeting was attended by Maj. Gen. Ahmed Al-Oqaili, Director of the Supreme Commander’s Office and a number of military leaders.
