The calls focused on the progress of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation, launched today, Monday, to restore state institutions, liberate the capital, Sana’a, and end the coup by the terrorist Houthi militias.
President Al-Alimi received briefings from PLC members and military leaders directing field operations on developments across various theaters of operations. He was also briefed on the implementation of approved plans and missions, and the gains achieved by the Armed Forces and all military formations since the operation commenced.
The President praised the field advances achieved by the Armed Forces and all military formations. He also commended the bravery, discipline, and high level of coordination demonstrated by the Armed Forces, military formations, and popular resistance forces.
He particularly praised the significant gains on the western coast of Taiz Governorate, including the recapture of strategic areas and positions in Dhubab and Bab Al-Mandab, and the securing of this vital waterway.
President Al-Alimi also praised the support provided by the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy to the Yemeni Armed Forces. He stressed that the impact of this support extends beyond restoring state institutions and safeguarding the country’s security and stability. It also strengthens the resilience of national institutions, supports the economy, and helps alleviate the humanitarian and living hardships caused by the terrorist Houthi militias.
President Al-Alimi affirmed that the “Dawn of Yemen” operation will proceed according to approved plans until state institutions are restored and the capital, Sana’a, is liberated. He said the gains achieved across the fronts reflect the high level of preparedness and coordination among the Armed Forces and all military formations. As well as, they reflect the effective support provided by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy.
The President renewed his call on citizens in areas forcibly controlled by the Houthi militias not to be drawn into their attempts to involve them in the fighting. He urged them to stay away from militia positions and military gatherings.
He stressed that the operations are not a war against citizens, their areas, or their affiliations. Rather, they are a battle waged by the state for its citizens, to restore its institutions and protect the rights and dignity of all Yemenis.
President Al-Alimi also called on those misled into joining the militias to seize the opportunity for safe return under the announced amnesty, lay down their arms, stop fighting, and return to their families and homeland. He assured them that the door would remain open to anyone who chooses to side with the state and the national interest, in accordance with the announced procedures.
The President stressed the implementation of measures adopted by the National Defense Council concerning strict adherence to the law and military discipline, as well as the protection of the lives and dignity of detainees and wounded persons. He underscored that no acts of retaliation or individual practices that undermine the values of the Armed Forces and state institutions would be tolerated.
President Al-Alimi affirmed that every advance achieved by the Armed Forces must be accompanied by the protection of civilians and public and private property, as well as conduct that reflects the values of the Republic and the authority of the law.
He stressed that the mission is not merely to regain territory, but to restore the state to it, with all that this entails in terms of security, justice, institutions, services, and protection of citizens’ rights.
