President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for depositing a new tranche of support into the Yemeni government’s general budget. He said the move reaffirms the Kingdom’s steadfast position in support of Yemen and its people, as well as its support for state institutions and the national economy.

In a post on X, President Al-Alimi said “the new announcement provides decisive confirmation of the commitment outlined in the Kingdom’s recent royal address to provide comprehensive support to the Yemeni government. This includes extending its authority across the country and confronting attacks by the terrorist Houthi militias.”

Earlier today, Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and Supervisor General of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) Mohammed Al Jaber announced the deposit of a new tranche of more than SAR 224 million under the Saudi budget-support grant to the Yemeni government. He said the support would help ensure regular government financial flows, strengthen the efficiency of fiscal policy, and contribute to enhancing the purchasing power of Yemeni citizens.

Al Jaber explained that the support comes in implementation of the directives of the Kingdom’s leadership and as part of its continued support for the Yemeni people and government. This comes amid ongoing terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia against the resources, property, and interests of the Yemeni people.
