PLC President Hails Armed Forces Capabilities, Directs Implementation of Safe Return and Mobilization Decisions

President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), praised the Armed Forces for the firm deterrence they have demonstrated across various fronts and operational axes. He commended their ability to regain the initiative and inflict heavy losses on the militias and their military equipment.

The President made the remarks during a meeting today, Monday, with a number of provincial governors, attended by PLC member and Marib Governor Sultan Al-Arada, Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Al-Zindani, and relevant ministers and military and security leaders. The meeting discussed executive measures related to the safe return and general mobilization decisions following the completion of their constitutional and legal procedures.

The meeting renewed congratulations to the Yemeni people on the 64th anniversary of the glorious September 26 Revolution. It also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Armed Forces, security forces, popular resistance, and civilians, while wishing the wounded and injured a speedy recovery.

President Al-Alimi specifically praised the Air Force, drone units, artillery and rocket-launcher units, snipers, and all ground forces operating in an integrated manner across various theaters of operations.

In this context, His Excellency highlighted the operational efficiency and field results achieved by the Armed Forces, including the execution of 756 precise and targeted strikes over 72 hours on the fronts of Kataf, Al-Buqa’a, Alab, Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, Lahj, and Taiz. The operations resulted in 2,316 militia members being killed or wounded, in addition to the destruction or disabling of military vehicles, reinforcements, missile launchers, and weapons depots.

The President stressed that the achievements of recent days were only the beginning, noting that the Armed Forces still possess capabilities and options whose impact will become evident on the battlefield. He held the Houthi militias responsible for the escalation and for sending more deceived Yemenis into the maelstrom of death.

President Al-Alimi renewed his call on Yemenis in the governorates forcibly controlled by the militias not to allow their sons to be sent to the battlefronts. He affirmed that the state asks them only to stand with the values of the republic and its institutions and to reject the use of their sons and resources as fuel for prolonging the war and suffering.

The meeting listened to briefings from the Prime Minister, relevant ministers, provincial governors, and military and security leaders on the latest field developments, the needs and tasks required during the next phase. The meeting was also briefed on measures taken to implement the directives of the PLC and strengthening  the presence of state institutions at all levels.

President Al-Alimi stressed that the current phase places exceptional responsibilities on governors toward the people of their governorates who are living under the forced control of the Houthi militias. He affirmed that the state regards the citizens of those governorates as its own people, partners, and rightful stakeholders in restoring state institutions, security, and stability.

He explained that the safe return initiative covers anyone who chooses to leave the militias and their Imamate project and to cease fighting or working on their behalf, in accordance with the announced constitutional and legal guarantees and procedures. This includes regularizing the status of members of the Armed Forces and security forces while safeguarding their legal rights.

Regarding general mobilization, President Al-Alimi informed the meeting that the constitutional process related to the measure had been completed. He stressed that it is not merely a mobilization of fighters, but a comprehensive national mobilization of human, financial, and moral resources, aimed at strengthening the capacity of state institutions, the Armed Forces, and security forces to fulfill their duties.

In this regard, President Al-Alimi praised the prompt and responsible response of the House of Representatives to the request to declare general mobilization. He commended the legislature for fulfilling its national and constitutional responsibilities during this exceptional phase. He said the response reflected an understanding of the scale of the challenges facing the country. It also demonstrated a commitment to unifying state institutions and resources to confront these threats and protect the republican system and its national gains.

The President also commended the national role played by the media, cultural and intellectual platforms, writers, intellectuals, and activists in countering the militias’ misinformation. He praised their support for Yemenis’ efforts to restore their national institutions and end their suffering during this pivotal stage in the country’s history.

President Al-Alimi affirmed that the sacrifices of the Armed Forces, all military formations, and the popular resistance would not be in vain. He stressed the need to provide proper care for the families of martyrs and the wounded, preserve the cohesion of state institutions, and rally citizens around the national project. He described these as essential pillars for ending the threat posed by the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic and Lt. Gen. Hashim Al-Ahmar, Advisor to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
