Aden
President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, hailed the victories achieved by the Armed Forces and all military formations, as well as their latest battlefield gains on the fronts of Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda, Taiz and Al-Hodeidah. He praised the forces’ bravery and capabilities in confronting the escalation by the Houthi terrorist militias and seizing the upper hand on the ground.
President Al-Alimi made the remarks during phone calls with military and field commanders on various fronts to review the latest operational developments and the level of combat readiness. He also discussed measures to consolidate and secure liberated areas, as well as the requirements needed to continue carrying out their military duties efficiently and responsibly.
The Supreme Commander commended the important battlefield gains made by the Armed Forces over the past few hours. He also praised the active role of the Air Force and unmanned aerial systems in supporting ground forces and firmly addressing hostile threats in accordance with the rules of engagement and the highest applicable professional and legal standards.
President Al-Alimi said that the Houthi militias, having chosen the path of escalation and rejected all peace initiatives, hold responsibility for the consequences of their reckless actions. He affirmed that the Armed Forces will continue to fulfill their constitutional duty until state institutions are restored and the state extends its authority over the entirety of the national territory.
The PLC President affirmed that the Armed Forces had demonstrated their ability to deter threats and regain the upper hand in this test. He said that the militias’ rejection of international legitimacy resolutions would not give them the right to impose a fait accompli on Yemenis or obstruct efforts to restore their national institutions. Nor would it give them the right to turn Yemen into a platform for threatening maritime routes and global trade supply chains.
President Al-Alimi praised the broad popular support for the Armed Forces, as well as the responsible positions taken by political and social forces, intellectual and awareness platforms, the media, and all national stakeholders. He noted that these groups have demonstrated growing determination to put an end to the militias’ destructive actions, strengthen confidence in the state and its institutions, and unite the domestic front in confronting the militias’ project.
The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces called on citizens in areas of military operations to comply with the instructions and guidance issued successively by the Armed Forces and the competent authorities, in order to ensure their safety and facilitate measures to secure the areas. He affirmed that protecting the lives and property of citizens, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian assistance, and providing relief to displaced persons will remain at the core of the duties of the state and its Armed Forces.
President Al-Alimi prayed for the souls of the righteous martyrs among the heroes of the Armed Forces and all military formations, wishing the wounded and injured a speedy recovery. He directed the competent authorities to continue providing care for the families of martyrs, ensure the necessary treatment and care for the wounded, and uphold their guaranteed rights. He stressed that doing so is a constitutional and moral duty that brooks neither negligence nor delay.
