PLC President: New Saudi Support for Central Bank to Give Major Boost to Comprehensive Reform Efforts

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), expressed profound thanks and appreciation, on behalf of himself, his fellow Council members, the government, and the Yemeni people, to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Kingdom’s new support for the Central Bank of Yemen.

He expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership, under the leadership of his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

In a post on his account on the “X” platform, President Al-Alimi said the new support represents an extension of the Kingdom’s steadfast fraternal stances in support of the Yemeni people and their political leadership.

He said, “This generous support represents an important boost to economic reforms, strengthening the stability of the national currency, improving citizens’ living conditions, and enhancing basic services.”

The PLC President affirmed that the government will continue to fulfill its commitments, maximize the impact of the fraternal partnership between the two brotherly countries, and strengthen confidence in state institutions and the country’s path toward comprehensive recovery.

Earlier today, the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) announced new support for the Central Bank of Yemen aimed at strengthening the foundations of economic, financial, and monetary stability. The support is expected to contribute to enhancing purchasing power, improving living standards, stimulating commercial markets, and supporting sustainable recovery in Yemen.
