Republican Decree Establishes Khalifa Hospital Authority in Taiz Governorate

Republican Decree No. (52) of 2026 was issued today, establishing the Khalifa Hospital Authority in Al-Shamayatayn District, Taiz Governorate.
The decree comprises 26 articles organized into five chapters. The first and second chapters define the Authority’s name, terminology, establishment, objectives, functions, and mandates. The third and fourth chapters address the Authority’s administration, financial resources, and financial system, while the fifth chapter contains the final provisions.
The final article of the decree stipulates that it shall enter into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
Under the decree, the Authority shall have legal personality and enjoy financial and administrative independence. It shall operate under the guidance, supervision, and oversight of the Minister of Public Health and Population.
The Authority aims to contribute to the Ministry of Public Health and Population’s responsibilities in providing medical and healthcare services to citizens through the management and operation of the hospital. It also seeks to enhance, expand, and develop the hospital’s services to meet community needs, while supporting the achievement of comprehensive development goals in line with the State’s public health policy.
