President Al-Alimi Praises Integration Between Judiciary and Law Enforcement in Countering Terrorist Plots

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council met today, Sunday, with Judge Mohsen Yahya Talib, Chief of the Supreme Judicial Council, along with heads of judicial bodies. The meeting also included Chief Justice Dr. Ali Al-Awash, President of the Supreme Court, Minister of Justice Judge Badr Al-Aridah, and Attorney General Qaher Mustafa.

During the meeting, the President was briefed on the performance of the judiciary over the recent period, the cases under review across various courts, and the role of judicial authorities in strengthening the state’s presence and enforcing the rule of law.

President Al-Alimi expressed his appreciation for the judiciary’s efforts, achievements, resilience, and continued fulfillment of its duties under challenging circumstances. He praised the pivotal role of the Supreme Judicial Council in safeguarding public order, protecting rights and freedoms, and upholding the rule of law.

He reaffirmed that the judiciary represents the first line of defense against corruption and the most important instrument for enhancing public trust in state institutions and reinforcing their presence at all levels.

The President also briefed the judicial leadership on recent developments and transformations, including the formation of a new government as part of a comprehensive reform process.This process aims to improve institutional performance and advance toward building an effective state capable of enforcing public order and the rule of law.

He stressed that unifying the security and military decision-making process constitutes a strategic turning point that enables the judiciary to effectively perform its duties. He noted that the authority of the state begins with integrated coordination between law enforcement bodies, ending institutional fragmentation, and establishing a successful governance model in liberated governorates based on institutional efficiency and swift justice.

President Al-Alimi commended the significant efforts made by security agencies in supporting the judiciary, pursuing terrorist elements, dismantling sabotage cells, and thwarting plots targeting social peace and stability. He praised recent successes reflecting a high level of readiness, professionalism, and effective coordination among law enforcement bodies.

In this context, the President extended his sincere condolences to the family of businessman Abdulrahman Al-Shaer, who was killed on Saturday by terrorist cells. He affirmed that such crimes will not go unpunished and that the state will continue to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

He reiterated the central role of the judiciary within the reform agenda, describing it as the true guarantor of sustainable reform. He emphasized the need to expedite case resolution, enhance integrity and transparency, activate judicial inspection mechanisms, and combat corruption.

The President also underscored the importance of close coordination between the Supreme Judicial Council and the executive and legislative branches, while respecting the principle of separation of powers and promoting institutional integration to serve the public interest.

His Excellency further praised the sincere and fraternal support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the judiciary. He noted that such support reflects a firm commitment to strengthening and rebuilding Yemeni state institutions.

In this regard, President Al-Alimi, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Council members and the government, extended his congratulations to the leadership of Saudi Arabia—led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman—on the achievements realized under Vision 2030, which was launched ten years ago. He highlighted the major transformations that have elevated the Kingdom to the ranks of the world’s fastest-growing and most influential nations.

He affirmed that these achievements have not only benefited Saudi Arabia domestically but have also had positive impacts on Yemen and the wider region at all levels.
