Presidential Decree Promoting Minister of Defense to Rank of Lieutenant General

Today, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued Decree No. (41) of 2026. 

Article (1) of the decree stipulates the promotion of the Minister of Defense, Major General (Staff)Taher Ali Aida Al-Auqeeli, to the rank of Lieutenant General.

Article (2) of the decree stipulates that it shall take effect as of the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette and military bulletins.
