Presidential Decree on Appointments in the First Military Region

Today, President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces issued Decree No. (40) of 2026 concerning appointments to the command of the First Military Region.

Article (1) of the Decree stipulates the appointment of the following officers to the command positions indicated next to their names, as follows:

- Brigadier General Fahd Salem Issa Salem Bamoumin is appointed Commander of the First Military Region and promoted to the rank of Major General.

- Brigadier General Amer Abdullah Abdullah Mohammed bin Hatyan is appointed Chief of Staff of the First Military Region.

- Brigadier General Mohammed Omar Awad Saleh Ali bin Ghanem is appointed Chief of Operations of the First Military Region.

Article (2) of the Decree provides that it shall enter into force as of the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette and military bulletins.
