Judges appointed to the Supreme Court took the legal oath before the President of the Presidential Leadership Council

Today, Saturday, a number of appointed judges as members of the Supreme Court took the oath before His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, in the presence of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Mohsen Yahya Talib, and the Chief of the Supreme Court, Judge Ali Ahmed Al-Awash.

 

In accordance with Decree of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council No. (155) of 2023, the following members of the Supreme Court took the legal oath:

After that, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting with the judges appointed to the Supreme Court, in which he congratulated them on gaining the leadership’s trust, and wished them success in their future practical tasks.

 

His Excellency the President also congratulated Yemeni women on the appointment of eight women to the Supreme Court for the first time in the history of the country.

 

The President emphasized the role relied upon by the distinguished judges in enhancing the prestige of the state, serving justice, enforcing the rule of law, and protecting social peace in light of the conditions of war caused by the Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.

 

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council also affirmed the commitment of the Council and the government to the principle of separation of powers, the independence of the judiciary system, non-interference in its affairs, and to work hardly to improve the conditions of its members and implement the rulings of its various departments.

 

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed the leadership of the judiciary on developments in the political and economic conditions, the path of government reforms, and efforts to alleviate human suffering in light of the catastrophic repercussions of the Houthi militia attacks on oil installations, infrastructure, and the security of international navigation.

 

His Excellency explained the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in limiting the repercussions of these terrorist attacks, and the government’s continued fulfillment of its inevitable obligations, first and foremost the regular payment of employee salaries, and securing food and basic goods imports.
