His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, returned today, Tuesday, to the interim capital Aden. His return follows a series of ongoing consultations with brothers, friends, and regional and international partners on the latest national and regional developments and ways to support the country’s comprehensive reform agenda.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), President Al-Alimi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Yemeni people at home and abroad on the 62nd anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution. He affirmed that this historic day will remain a symbol of national unity, shared destiny, and a source of inspiration for generations in building a state of justice and equal citizenship.

The President stated that today’s national struggle is a continuation of the great October battle against the project of tyranny and coup. He called on all political forces and components to unite their efforts, begin a new phase of constructive work, and focus on the priority of restoring state institutions and easing the suffering of citizens caused by the reckless actions of the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

President Al-Alimi praised the government and the Central Bank for implementing the comprehensive reform matrix and achieving tangible progress in monetary stability. He stressed the importance of continuing this path in a spirit of teamwork, institutional coordination, and coherence to serve citizens and strengthen confidence with the donor community at all levels.

His Excellency expressed deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their continued support of the reform process and their humanitarian and development interventions across various sectors. He affirmed that their positions remain a cornerstone of Yemen’s journey toward peace, stability, reconstruction, and development.

The President also commended the achievements made in strengthening the legal standing of the state in Aden. These include the relocation of financial centers and international organization offices, the increase in diplomatic accreditations, and the intensified pressure on terrorist militias to cut off their sources of funding and armament.
