His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Saturday with the Legal Team, supporting the Council, headed by Judge Hamoud Al-Hitar.

During the meeting, His Excellency was briefed by the head and members of the legal team on the team’s recent activities, accomplishments, and assigned responsibilities. He was also briefed on the team’s vision and future plans to enhance legal advisory work and strengthen full institutional coordination across state institutions.

At the outset of the meeting, President Al-Alimi, on behalf of himself and the members of the Council, expressed his profound appreciation for the team’s efforts during these exceptional circumstances in the country’s history.

He affirmed that the return of the Leadership Council to the legal team and its supporting bodies embodies the institutional approach of the state leadership and its commitment to the terms of reference of the transitional phase. Foremost among which are the declaration of the transfer of power and the rules governing the work of the Council and its supporting bodies.

The President affirmed that the Presidential Leadership Council today stands on a solid foundation of understanding, integration, and unified purpose aimed at restoring state institutions and ending the coup backed by the Iranian regime. He commended the role played by all bodies and institutions in this regard.

President Al-Alimi stressed the crucial role of legal efforts in the national struggle against the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia, in deterring its grave human rights violations, and in urging the international community to expand its designation of the group as a cross-border terrorist organization.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
