Today, Tuesday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, left the interim capital, Aden, for consultations with regional and international stakeholders regarding recent developments in Yemen. The discussions will focus on mobilizing support to address economic and service-related challenges, as well as their humanitarian repercussions—exacerbated by Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.

A source in the Office of the Presidency if the Republic stated: "His Excellency’s discussions will focus on strengthening the unified international stance in support of the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership, while reinforcing the government’s efforts to tackle current challenges as a strategic partner of the international community at all levels."

The source noted that the consultations would address required international efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering and advance the Yemeni people’s aspirations to restore national institutions, security, stability, and sustainable development.

In this context, the source underscored the pivotal role of brotherly nations—the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates—alongside regional and international partners, in supporting the government’s efforts to meet its critical obligations, particularly the payment of public sector salaries and provision of essential goods and services. The source emphasized the urgent need to expand this support amid the protracted financial crisis caused by three consecutive years of suspended oil exports.
