President Al-Alimi receives Ambassador of Arab Republic of Egypt

Today, Thursday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received Mr. Ahmed Farouk, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Yemen.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Egyptian Ambassador conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the Egyptian leadership to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, members of the Council and the government, on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Yemen. He stressed Egypt’s firm position alongside the Yemeni people, their political leadership, the security and stability of Yemen, and the integrity of its territories. 

The meeting touched upon the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, regional and international issues of common interest.The meeting also discussed developments in the Yemeni situation, including the good offices of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations to launch a comprehensive political process in accordance with national, regional and international references. In light of the Houthi militias’ violations of humanitarian law, and the disastrous repercussions of their terrorist attacks which are supported by the Iranian regime on oil installations, sea freight ships and international trade.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council renewed his thanks and appreciation for the honorable position of the Arab Republic of Egypt, alongside the Yemeni people, alleviating their human suffering and achieving their aspirations to restore state institutions, peace, stability and development.

The meeting was attended by Dr.Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
