His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and two members of the Council, Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami and Othman Majali, left the interim capital, Aden, today, Wednesday, to participate in the work of the 33rd Arab Summit, to be held tomorrow, Thursday, in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council to deliver Yemen's speech to the Arab League Summit, which comes under extremely complex circumstances. It will be held with the continuation of the brutal Israeli war against the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights to establish their independent state in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
In addition to the central Arab issue, the Bahrain League Summit will consider the conditions and unrest witnessed by a number of Arab countries, including human suffering, and opportunities for establishing security, stability and peace in the region.
Before his departure, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and members of the Council held extensive meetings with the Prime Minister, ministers, and officials concerned with economic, financial, and service affairs. He stressed the need to deal effectively with the living crisis that the country is witnessing, and to provide urgent solutions to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), His Excellency the President expressed his deep pain over the difficult humanitarian conditions and circumstances that were exacerbated by the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime on oil installations and international shipping lines.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council confirmed that he, his fellow members of the Council, and the government are fully aware of the extent of the human suffering of the Yemeni people, including the painful effects of repeated crises in electrical energy supplies as the summer season approaches.
His Excellency the President affirmed his great interest in an urgent solution to the existing electricity crisis. His Excellency affirmed that he gave his directives to the government to ensure that electricity crisis does not reoccur, that generation is sustainable, not to rely on temporary solutions, and to continue working from homeland to fulfill all the state’s imperative obligations.
