His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of congratulations to Dr. Myriam Spiteri Debono on the occasion of her election and being sworn in as the President of the friendly Republic of Malta.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf, the members of the Council, and the government, expressed sincere congratulations to President Myriam Spiteri Debono. President Al- Alimi wished the Maltese President continued abundant health and happiness, the friendly government and people of the Republic of Malta further progress and prosperity under her wise leadership, and the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries further development and advancement.
