President Al-Alimi receives Egyptian parliamentary and media delegation

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a high-ranking Egyptian parliamentary and media delegation within the framework of the political and media movement taking place in the interim capital, Aden.

The delegation included Mr. Mustafa Bakri, the Parliamentarian and journalist,  Dr. Abdel Moneim Saeed, the Senator, journalist and researcher, Mr. Osama Saraya, former editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram newspaper, Mr. Ashraf Al-Ashry, Al-Ahram editor director, Mr. Amr Abdel Hamid, Director of the Center for Arab-Eurasian Studies, Mr. Nashaat Al-Daihi CEO of TEN channel, and Ms. Fathia Al-Dakhakhni, the journalist at Al-Masriah Foundation For the press. 

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council  briefed the Egyptian parliamentary and media delegation on the latest developments in the local situation, the opportunities to revive the peace process and its complications in light of the escalation of the terrorist Houthi militias on various fronts.

His Excellency reminded of the government initiatives to end the human suffering exacerbated by the terrorist Houthi militia attacks on oil installations, maritime shipping and international shipping lines.

His Excellency the President touched upon the leading role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which contributed to the cohesiveness of the institutions of the Yemeni state. In addition, this leading role alleviated the suffering of the Yemeni people, leading to the recent decision of the Saudi Cabinet, which approved the Saudi state bearing fees and fines to correct the cases of displaced from neighboring countries, at the forefront Yemeni residents in the Kingdom.

He also praised the role of the brothers in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the leadership, government and people, alongside Yemen, its people and its legitimate leadership in various stages and circumstances.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council highly appreciated the pioneering role of the Egyptian media, stressing the importance of correcting misleading narratives about the Yemeni issue, its background, developments, knowing and closely following what is going on in Yemen from reliable sources.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, and  Mr. Muammar Al-Eryani, the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism.
