President Al-Alimi holds a meeting with fact-finding committee on Houthi’s crime in Al-Bayda

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council along with Council member Abdul Rahman al-Mahrami, held a meeting today, Wednesday, with the fact-finding committee, which included Major General Ibrahim Haidan, the Minister of Interior,  Mr. Ahmed Arman, the Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, and Mr. Nasser Al-Sawadi, the Governor of Al-Bayda. The meeting touched upon the heinous crime committed by the Houthi terrorist militias yesterday, Tuesday, in Al-Hufra neighborhood in Rada'a District.

The meeting was briefed on a report by  the Governor and Director General of Rada' District Monef al-Dhahab, concerning the heinous bombing operation  of citizens’s houses, which resulted in the death of 12 civilians and the injury of others. Meanwhile efforts are continuing to search for missing people who were buried under rubbles of the demolished houses.

The meeting discussed the measures taken and required to provide reparations to the families of the victims, in addition to providing the necessary legal protection for citizens in areas forcibly controlled by Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias.

President Al-Alimi, on his own behalf, the Council members, and the government, expressed his sincere condolences and State’s full solidarity with the families of the innocent martyrs whose lives were lost under the rubble. His Excellency also wished a speedy recovery for the injured and safety for  those missing owing to this heinous crime, which recalls the militias’ dark record and their Imamate approach in victimizing both opponents and vulnerable  citizens.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council directed the government to promptly provide reparations to the families of martyrs and injured. Additionally he directed to take coordinated measures with various relevant authorities to document the crime, memorialize its victims, and prevent perpetrator’s  impunity both nationally and internationally.

President Al-Alimi, along with the Council member, praised the tribesmen and women  of Rada’a and Al-Bayda Governorate, who gathered to express their rejection and condemnation of the horrific crime. They also commended citizens for upholding the values of bravery, courage, resistance, and sacrifice, which have been embodied by the people of this proud governorate throughout history.

His Excellency the president also praised the extensive media, human rights, and societal response. The president stressed the importance of such response  in continuing to expose terrorist militias’ practices and monitoring their grave violations of human rights, Islamic and societal principles, and  national and international laws, without regard to the sanctity of the holy month.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, and Major General Ahmed Al-Aqili, Director of the Supreme Leader's Office.
