
President Al-Alimi left Aden to participate in the conference of international security and developments in Yemen and Red Sea

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, left the the interim capital Aden today, Wednesday, to participate in the Munich Security Conference. This year, the conference will address various issues including the developments of the Houthi militias’ terrorist attacks on maritime shipping and their implications on international peace and security.
President al-Alimi is scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the global conference in a discussion panel on Yemen and the situation in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the required role of the international community for supporting Yemeni government and strengthening its sovereignty over its coasts and territorial waters.
His Excellency the President will also review the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, including UN efforts to revive the peace process and end the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iran- backed terrorist Houthi militias, based on the laudable efforts of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On the sidelines of the conference, president Al- Alimi will meet with a number of international leaders and figures participating in the prestigious global gathering to exchange perspectives on common challenges and ways to coordinate positions and visions at various levels.
