During the meeting, they discuss local conditions, regional developments and their repercussions at all levels.
The meeting discussed the economic and institutional performance reports over the past year, and opportunities to enhance monetary and financial stability, improve the state’s access to its public resources, and move forward with its comprehensive reforms supported by the regional and international community.
The Prime Minister, the Governor of the Central Bank, and the Minister of Finance presented the current economic situation and the government measures taken to alleviate the burden of the humanitarian crisis created by the Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the efforts of the government and the Central Bank to continue the state’s fulfillment of its imperative obligations, praising the support of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for the general budget and oil derivatives, which helped confront the great financing pressures imposed by the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil installations and international shipping lines.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council gave his directions to redouble government efforts, ensure the provision of basic services and pay employees’ salaries on a regular basis.
The Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, and the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, briefed the attendees on the repercussions associated with the terrorist Houthi militia’s threats to maritime security, and the proposed policies for managing the crisis at the diplomatic and media discourse levels.
The meeting renewed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to the firm Yemeni position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, most notably resisting the Israeli occupation and establishing its independent, fully sovereign national state, and warning the Houthi militias of the consequences of continuing to exploit the oppression of the Palestinian people in order to achieve Iran’s interests and its expansionist projects in the region, disbursing the world's attention away from the Israeli occupation's attacks and grave violations. In a way that serves this aggression and its continuation.
The meeting praised the awareness shown by the Yemeni people, the political components, and the responsible media platforms in recognizing the background to the escalation of the Houthi militias, and their responsibility for calling in military strikes and dragging the country into a military confrontation arena for propaganda purposes with misleading claims that have nothing to do with supporting the Palestinian people.
The meeting stressed the need for the international community to support the Yemeni government in order to extend its control over the entire Yemeni territory, and to immediately begin designating the Houthi militia as a terrorist group and force it to seriously engage in efforts to calm the situation and bring security, stability, and peace to Yemen.
The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
