The Egyptian ambassador to Yemen informs the President of the Presidential Leadership Council about President Sisi's directives regarding the facilities required for Yemeni residents and expatriates

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Monday, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ahmed Farouk, to discuss the bilateral relations between the  two brotherly countries and peoples.

In the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador conveyed to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council the greetings of his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and his wishes for good health and happiness, and for the Yemeni people, security, stability and peace.

The Egyptian ambassador, conveyed to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the generous directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Egyptian government and its concerned departments to agree to grant the required facilities to Yemeni residents and expatriates in Egyptian lands.

Ambassador Ahmed Farouk said, "The Egyptian presidential directives come in response to the request of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council during his last meeting in Cairo with President Sisi, and in a way that embodies Egypt's unwavering commitment of the leadership, government and people to support the Yemeni people and their political leadership."

Ambassador Farouk said that the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant authorities will announce, successively, the mechanisms and details related to the facilities granted to Yemeni residents and expatriates, according to the presidential directives.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his great thanks and appreciation to his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian government, for this generous initiative and their witnessed stances in various stages and circumstances.

In this context, His Excellency mentioned the honorable positions of the Arab Republic of Egypt alongside the Yemeni people and its republican system, leading to its Arab and humanitarian role within the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, and efforts to restore state institutions, peace, stability, and development in Yemen.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the historical relations between the two brotherly countries, during which Egypt opened its doors to receive hundreds of thousands of Yemenis seeking education, treatment, and a safe haven from the oppression of the Houthi militia backed by the Iranian regime.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh.
